Nov. 8th, 2002 06:44 pmThe rain has finally come, as of yesterday. This makes me happy.
There's something about the aesthetic of a nasty, rainy, autumn day that appeals to me so much more than a bright, sunny day when the grass is green and the birds are chirping. Perhaps that seems strange when you consider that I grew up in the desert, but this seems to fit me better. I like the gentle rain, the fogginess of a Portland winter. Even in NM, I love the storms of late summer.
Darkness (well, partial darkness) is friendly; the sun is brutal.
