Genetics lab today was fun. Yes, fun. We are almost caught up with where we're supposed to be. Not that we've done a whole lot to get there; we just found out that we weren't as behind as we thought we were. Plus, we figured out that we may seem to be doing less work than all the other lab groups, but that's because we make damn sure what we're doing before we do it. So we've gotten to this point without having had any major catastrophes or having to do any procedure more than once. So we may be slower, but we're more efficient.

I've been really happy lately. I had a lot of work last week, but I got through it, and it was so glorious when I did. And yesterday I watched The Princess and the Warrior, or Der Krieger und die Kaiserin as it is in German. So good! Tom Tykwer films make me really happy. Not that they are completely feel-good experiences in themselves; the plotlines generally have some sort of tragedy, at least in what I've seen so far. But they're so well done, and have such cool scenes...

Anyway. Back to work I go.
