Often there comes a time in the writing of a paper when one must ask oneself, "Which paper topic is it that I'm writing about?"

I ask myself that now. Am I writing about paper topic number three? Or number five? It occurs to me that my answer may be more apt for number five than for number three, which I'd set out to answer.

Gah!

From my paper on the Scientific Revolution:

"Carolyn Merchant, author of The Death of Nature, might see a symbolic significance in this shift from an earth-centered to a heliocentric solar system. A de-emphasis on the earth as the center of everything is a sort of death of nature; the earth, symbol of life and renewal is shoved aside, relegated to third place. This new focal point, the sun, is the engine of the solar system, providing energy for the natural processes to take place. Now we have the universe as a mechanistic, rather than creative, entity."

Furious, furious e-mailing back and forth, because we are both working on our history papers. Merp. I think I've talked about physics to my satisfaction, now for chemistry and biology. Yep, that's how I'm organizing my paper.

*makes the sound god makes in Dogma, not the one that makes people's heads explode*

This paper becomes more and more awful and ridiculous. Good thing I am nearly done. Just one more page.

Twelve hours ago, I was finishing my history paper. Half an hour ago, I was turning in my o-chem final. I think it went okay, but that's about all I'm going to say about it. I'm relieved to be done with it, time to move on to the next thing. I think lab reportage will have to be pushed back until after my own little deadline, but I'm still going out for a drink in about 24 hours.
