OH GOD I WISH WE HAD READING WEEK HERE! But probably only because I'm a big slacker and would really like an opportunity to take a bit of a breather before finishing everything up. Hell, I need some kind of temporary change of pace, or I'm going to bust. But hey, at least Latin is over for the semester, even if I remembered shit for the last exam.

Still no word on the Tolkien class, and I've been waiting for three days. Arg. I just want a fucking answer. If the answer is no, I want to know so that I can argue it into a yes. And time is running out, yo. If I have to register for it late, I will be very upset. But, even if I can't take the class, I'll probably still be involved somehow. I have most of the books already, and the class will probably be using the Hobbit Society forum, which I'm already a member of, so, suck it! And I might get the books that I don't already have anyway. Or something. But, not taking the class would also mean that my plan for my last three semesters is rather fucked. Three semesters to do 24 hours of Honors credit. I can pull it off if I can do two Honors classes a semester plus thesis next year, which I would be doing anyway. The chick at the desk again gave me the "don't worry, the class will be offered again" bullshit again. Unless it's going to be offered in spring '06, I can't take it, because I should be all graduated after that. Of course, not being in the Tolkien class also means that I will have no classes on Tuesdays. And only four academic classes - the fifth is Tai Chi. I suppose I could find something that will fill one of the many gaps in my core requirements. But, eh. I don't know. I'm still a little confused about that stuff and should probably talk to the Arts & Sciences people. But I don't really have time left for that this semester, so I'll do it next semester when I have to do the whole transferring into A & S bit. Plus, for things like math, I'd rather do that during summer so that the suffering is over quickly. And, like I said, if I can't get two Honors classes next semester, my three-semester plan is fucked anyway. And that means an extra semester. Which also means an extra semester to do the stupid core and group requirement crap. And could also mean that I can do Medieval philosophy (most likely as an independent study) and philosophy of language before most of my thesis work, which would probably more useful to me. But, I'll probably still be wanting something to take up the extra time I suddenly find myself with next semester.

In other news, last week I lost a necklace, but got it back today. Which was good, because it was my birthday present from Gabrielle and I was beginning to think that such a present was ill-fated. The first one fell apart and I lost the bead. And then this one fell off somewhere (magnetic clasp). Turned out that it did so in Dr. Donovan's office, and not the Frontier. So, yeah.
