Spell Check WTF

How is it possible to do such a bad job of spelling "dismemberment" that one ends up with "Obermeier"? Granted, there's a "berme" letter combination in both, but "o" is a lot different than "dismem" (not to mention, a single letter as opposed to six).

Other spell check suggestions: "betterment" and "impermeable." (And no, this is not MS Word.)
