Small Victories

sjesterMy room is less exploded now. Everything is at least in one room. Except for the stuff that i don't want to keep. CDs are organized. But everything else is pretty much still in disarray. Plenty of floor space, though. And I even found a working pair of earphones; didn't know there were any left in my room. I still need to deal with my books, but I have so much more shelf space now. I should also go through all the drawers I never use and get rid of things - throw away what can't be used and sell/give away things that can.
The neighbor's wireless network is being fitful. It's annoying, but, nothing I can do about it. It will go out, come back, and then go out again before I can even reload a page. Good thing I ended up not canceling my dialup service yet.
I have yet to figure out the extent of the damage to my bank account from the trip, but at least I have money in it again, and it should be enough to fix things. Update: It wasn't as bad as I thought. I'd sort of figured my account was empty or very nearly so by the time I was ripped off at the gas station.
I stopped by the library on my way back from the bank and I now have the next two discs of Jeeves and Wooster and a couple of movies to enjoy.
In conclusion, I'm eating a chocolate frog. The card is Madam Pince.
