Getting Bored
Jan. 21st, 2001 04:44 pmIt's completely cloudy today, and I'm sleepy. I hate it when you have to turn on the lights in the middle of the day because the clouds are blocking out so much sunlight. Not cool. Classes start tomorrow. Oh joy. Actually, it won't be that bad. I have just Hum (ick) and Tai Chi (yay!) and bio lab lecture. I don't like the thought of getting up before nine to go to Hum lecture where I'll probably fall asleep anyway and then an hour later go to Hum conference where I'll most likely just stare at my nails the whole time. Grr. But in between those, I plan to go pick up an application for a job at the library (yay for income!) and then get a ticket for this Friday's Kronos Quartet concert in Kaul. That should be interesting. I am looking forward to Tuesday's classes, though, because I'm starting two new ones. Logic, and The String Quartet, which promises to be very interesting.
Last night I went to a Paideia class by Dr. Demento. That was without a doubt the most amusing two hours I've ever spent in the lecture hall. By a very wide margin. Considering what I'm in there for normally... Afterwards we (Meg and the gang from ODB and I) went to Wendy's for dinner and had to go to the drive-through because it was ten o'clock and everything in Portland including fast food restaurants close before then. Then we came back and hung out in Kate's room. That was also very amusing. I don't feel like going into detail about it though, because I'm lazy and remembering would be too much effort. I need to save mental effort for the Hum reading that I have to finish tonight. Only two chapters to go!
I think dinner will be in order soon...
