Jon Gilbert bought me lunch today. That was quite random. I sat with Meg, John, physics people, Tim, and one of Tim's old roommates - a rather large and random collection of people. Meg told the story of Carlotta having us (that being Meg, Kate, Eileen and I) play Drunk Taxi Driver. Eileen got trashed such that she was quite sick and then woke up still drunk.

Had o-chem conference at nine this morning. I was early, so I got to check my e-mail when I got there. (We were in the chem computer lab.) That made me happy, as there was a message from Patrick. And then in conference, I did all the problems, even understood fairly well, having not started actually studying yet.

I don't know how well I deal with reading something and then going to class to discuss it. There's a lot of separation there between the reading and the discussing of it. I'd almost rather read while discussing, or some such thing.

Maybe I'll expand on that later, but for now I need to be off to class.

I think I have a problem with reading. I get too caught up in linearity, as if the world is going to come crashing down if I skip around a bit. I must stop this. It's not about getting through the reading. It's about reading it.

Multitasking with studying and more interesting things like socializing (though somewhat distantly) probably doesn't help. Neither does trying to hurry while doing so because getting home should be done soon.
