The Weekend, in Sum
Oct. 6th, 2002 06:36 pmYesterday was the inauguration of Reed's new president. I went to the ceremony and the dinner. It was all very high-brow and weird. But heck, free food. Also, the Doyle Owl made an appearance. I'll probably write about that in more detail later, because now I don't have much time, as I need to get some work done before going off to the theater. After the Owl fiasco, I sat around in Kaul during the Pink Martini show with Matt, Kristina, Molly, and John. Then John and I rented a movie (finally got to see Requiem for a Dream), and after the movie played ping pong with Eileen and a couple random people. There was supposedly a trip to the Greek festival today, but I evidently missed the phone call that was to be made before leaving. It's possible that I missed either because I wasn't home briefly, or because I was upstairs where I can't hear the phone and the housemate I thought was home didn't answer for one reason or another. So since I missed that, I haven't seen Eileen today and therefore still have her jacket, as I forgot it yesterday and she'd left it at my house because some dickwad threw an egg out of their car as she and Meg and I were walking to campus Friday night and it hit her. But it's probably not a bad thing that I missed it, as that is more time for work, which I need. Some time will be taken up already by theater things tonight. Therefore, I should get back to work now.
