I Write Because That's What I Do
Apr. 23rd, 2003 01:25 amI've been all about the joining online communities lately. First Barliman's, then the Kyokou Geemu (KG) forums, then Henneth Annun (HA)/Henneth Annun Story Archive (HASA). All of it full of odd people, my preferred company.
I guess I'm most excited about HA/HASA, as they combine my to great passions at this time: writing and Tolkien. I'm suddenly struck with a need to string words together. It's been a long time since I've written any fiction, though. Small steps. Plus, this may eventually help with my thesis, as I've pretty much made up my mind to write on Tolkien (specifically Tolkien and the problem of evil, most likely).
My mom is going to get me up early so I can drive her to work and I can therefore have transportation during the day. This way, I will also have time during the day to do stuff. The big goal: finish the personal statement for the UNM app so I can turn it in and finally drive over to the post office to send of the transcript request form. I do already have a very rough version of the personal statement. I don't know about it, though. I guess I'm not entirely clear on what they want. So they're just going to get what I've got, which is basically a statement that says that writing and thinking is what I do, therefore a major in English-Philosophy is the only real solution for me, and being a Bio major was an experiment gone bad so that's why my transcript/GPA is crap.
Damn! I need a neck massage.
