Feb. 1st, 2004 11:45 pmI've had a most unproductive weekend. But at least I had fun. Friday was the MSSA happy hour, and the following day a party with MSSA people. I also went to a basketball game, because Alanna had an extra ticket. (And a parking pass this time!) Also, I've spent the afternoons at the Vortex. I'm going to be somehow involved in a production of Methods of Madness in some capacity. Whether as cast or crew remains to be seen. The play is about a couple of Hollywood actors who run into some very odd people who promise to help with their careers. One wants to be an Artist and the other just wants to be famous. There are also people dressed as mackerel. And several dead people.
I found out the other night that my dad once aspired to a political career, apparently out of very idealistic reasons. Thanks to be to Manuel Lujan for disabusing my father of any such notions. I can, unfortunately, imagine my dad as a politician, and it's scary. He would (self-admittedly) skew to the dictator side of things.
Watched Queer Eye for the Straight Guy today, since they were showing it on network TV and there were no Simpsons and such to watch. Probably should have spent the time concentrating on reading, but meh. I've still got the reading for my morning class done.
