Burque is such a small town. It puts on delusions of being a city, but really, it's a small town.
I went to Geckos for dinner, having been at the library before that and bound for Gabrielle's afterward, and I ended up staying for two hours because of all the people I knew that showed up. Jocelyn and Eric were working (and stole food off my plate, both of them!) Monika and Seth came in briefly. And once I'd finished with the eating and drinking (a cheeseburger, a rum & coke, and a free Fuzzy Navel), I had some time to kill and shouldn't have been driving anyway, so I sat outside with Eric and Amanda. Liz showed up with a couple people and joined us. Eric started to introduce us because he didn't know that we'd gone to high school together. Amanda, who I know only as a Geckos employee, really, remembers me from something a long time ago. She went to the same elementary school I did. So did Eric, for that matter. Of course, when he was there, I was in preschool, hanging out with Joseph all the time and introducing myself to strangers as "She-Ra."
Small fucking town.
In other news, got my grade back from the Sea Captain. A B on both the paper and the class in general. Didn't really expect anything better. I have to wonder if anyone got an A for that class.
Did the fall registration bit the other day. It turns out I won't be taking Logic, because the class was already closed. (And how many of those people are still going to be in the class by the end of it? Hmm?) So I'm taking some political philosophy class taught by my Philosophy & Literature prof instead.
Sleep now. Must write 12 pages tomorrow.
