Where You Could Taste Heaven Perfectly

My hair smells like smoke. Bleh. Now that I'm not surrounded by smokers, I can smell it. But that's what happens when I run into people at Geckos, because most of them smoke. Drank a bit more than I intended, but I stayed later to compensate. I was finishing my second drink, head still clear, when I found myself being hugged and turned to discover that Amanda had showed up with a friend of hers. So I joined them at a table and she bought me a third drink, which did the trick. Met some new people and had much fun, which is good, because now I'm in a rather crappy mood.

Regardless of the current mood, it's been a good day. Productive, even. Washed things and put them away. And bought stuff. I still had a lot of gift certificate money for Borders, so I went and I got Foucault's Pendulum. I would have gotten The Name of the Rose too, but they didn't have one in stock at the moment. So instead I headed to the music section and got Scarlet's Walk and Tales of a Librarian. I am apparently doomed to hear Scarlet's Walk only in the car, because the disc is now stuck in the CD player. It plays just fine, but won't eject properly. And my computer's drive doesn't want to play Tales right. Why must all of my CD players suck?

Yesterday I made chocolate chocolate chip cookies. They are yummy. I make excellent chocolate dough. (Extra chocolate powder, in addition to the melted chocolate. Heavenly.)

And now I should get my smoky self into the bed with the nice clean sheets. Way to keep them that way.

But first, tonight's tarot spread... )
