Oct. 4th, 2004 11:30 pmI should be writing my ethics paper, but that should take only a matter of a couple hours. My last one was three pages and I got an A on it. So instead I'm going to try posting by e-mail again, since every time I go to the update page, IE shuts down. Not cool. Especially since I haven't posted in over a week, and I'm going to have some stuff I'll want to store on here.
So, an overview of the events enumerated in the lost e-mail post of yesterday:
Saturday: Movie, Resident Evil: Apocalypse. The type of movie that is best viewed when drunk. Otherwise I'd have to yell at the director for insulting my intelligence.
Monday: Sanskrit quiz, not exactly prepared for but still decently done. Also, Monday Night Football at Sarah's, which was fun and I would have gone again this week were it not for the aforementioned paper.
Wednesday: Working scene in acting class. Went quite well, and blocking changed drastically. Now on a couch and more physical, which I sort of resent because of dislike of scene partner. Ah well. I'll live. Especially since I apparently did a really good job, judging by the compliments I've gotten.
Friday: Saw Pounding Nails in the Floor with My Forehead. Good show. Patrick is teh awesome. The others were good too. Lots of theater folk in the audience, all of whom I could recognize but don't actually know. Afterwards, Geckos was quite busy.
Saturday: Staged reading of Gabrielle's play. I went to watch, but ended up participating. Was fun. Quick meeting with scene partner in which I said, "Yo, bitch, this is the blocking for the rest of the scene," and he said, "Okay, off to see the girlfriend," and I thought, "Do her a favor and have a breath mint first." Evening plans included meeting up with people at Geckos, going to Amanda's to drink and play Cranium, and then going downtown to see Vic's band. (Vic = Friday night DJ guy at Geckos) While downtown went to the Anodyne briefly. The lighting in their bathrooms is not very good. It was a pretty long evening, and I lost track of some of the time somewhere in there. On the way home, there was a spectacular storm just north of here.
I've decided not to drink much for a while. Because obviously, based on Saturday, I'm currently prone to being a nasty bitch when I've had a few, and taking my own shit out on other people is not cool. Even if they will put up with it.
There was another big storm around here tonight. Not more than a few seconds without lightning, and there was hail. I could hear it thudding on the roof. Seems to have passed now.
And I should get on that paper.
