Welcome To Insanity
Feb. 6th, 2001 05:12 pmI got three hours of sleep last night. I hadn't even been planning to sleep at all, since it got to be five o'clock and I was still awake, and I figured if I went to sleep, I wouldn't be able to get up, but I really needeed to because I had to return some books to the library by nine in the morning because they were on reserve and I checked them out after midnight, so I got to keep them longer than I normally would, and I couldn't sleep, so I stayed up and did all the readings that I needed to, and I did manage to get up on time and I've been wide awake all day, even through the three classes I had today that were all one hour and twenty minutes long, and actually, I'm more than just awake, because I feel really fuckin' great because life is beautiful (all the time and they're coming to take me awaay!), even though I had to sit next to a dirty hippie in Logic because he was late to class and decided that the seat right next to me was the right one to sit in, and he wasn't very prepared for class and kept copying things off of my handout and asking me stupid questions, but what else would you expect from someone who was supposed to be a freshman last year but forgot to register for classes and so had to defer for a year. *deep breath* And I ate Ramen noodles for lunch in my dorm because there were way too many people in Commons at lunch time, because for some reason, everyone and their freakin' dog eats lunch at noon on Tuesdays and Thursdays, of course the days that I can't wait until one to eat, and make Commons way too busy and crowded and I don't want to have to deal with fighting my way around the place just to get something to eat and then trying to find a place to sit, which I can't because even though Commons is packed I can't find anyone I like, so I'd rather just dispense with the whole thing, so I did, because I had one more package of Ramen in the social room. I have three of them now, because after Logic I walked up the hill to the bank to put some money in my checking account so that I don't have just six dollars anymore and then I went to Safeway because I needed more Ramen and I needed change for making photocopies later, and on the way back, the sun was shining, and it wasn't so cold anymore, and I had gotten to see a cute Latino (yes, there actually are some in Portland, land of the sunstarved) working at Safeway, and I was somewhat drunk with sunshine and just really, really happy, and I should probably go do some work now while I wait for my laundry to dry so that I can have done something other than Bio before starting on the lab report with Megatroid later. So off I go. My regards to the voice you hear when you read silently.
Namaste.
