Angry Letters and New Neighbors
Feb. 5th, 2001 02:16 amI wrote a letter responding to the one from the Albuquerque Academy Concerned Parents. It took me less than two hours and was about the length of a Hum paper. Actually, it was longer than my last three (of four) Hum papers. It took a lot of effort and was slightly exhausting, but I think I have a lot of energy today for some reason, as I was able to put in the effort to write that letter and then read Hum forever. I did get caught up with the reading. And then I made a half-assed attempt at my Bio lab report, but there's really not much I can do without my lab partner, Meg. Then I did a very little bit of logic reading and did the exercises at the end of the first section of chapter 2. They were very long exercises. But I did them, and I did them right. I haven't gotten a chance to work on my Reed Dicionary or on learning HTML today, but that's okay. I also didn't practice, but I did look through all the music. It shouldn't be so bad. It's harder than what we played last semester, and there are a couple spots that are written in treble clef instead of my beloved alto, but I can handle it. And I've played more difficult music. Of course, I was able to kind of hide behind other players. Or sometimes just one, but a very good one. Now I am the good viola player, which is kind of scary, and the orchestra part for Faure's Requiem is for violas, cellos, and horns. No pressure at all!
I was supposed to go see a movie today, but the plans didn't work out. Buses running only once an hour because it's Sunday = tripleplussuck.
We had a new dormie move in today. Anji used to live upstairs, but she would hang out here quite a bit and there was a double room open, so she is now a dorm host on our floor. Heh, heh, heh, prospies for me to corrupt... I mean, prospies to introduce to Reed. (Eh, same thing. If they're not already corrupted.) We also have a rabbit in the dorm. For a little while at least. Anji found and caught it yesterday and is now trying to find its owner. People have already started coming up with names for it, though.
Well, it's two thirty, and off I go. To bed, perhaps to sleep.
