Jul. 5th, 2001 05:11 pmMy hair is significantly shorter than it was, although it's still long. (It was down to my waist.) Got a haircut today to get rid of the nasty, damaged ends. So now it's all one length, basically. I used to have part of it shaved, but I've been letting that grow out for quite a while, and because of that my hair was two different lengths. But that's fixed now. Except for the annoying new growth.
Also, although I didn't go cash my check and go shopping, I still got some new shampoo and conditioner. This stuff is supposed to tame frizzies.
My mom suggested that tomorrow I figure out how long it's going to take me to get to work. I think I will, just so I won't be all anal about getting to work on time on Monday and end up being really freakin' early. So, that means tomorrow I get up really early. Another good thing to practice, since I haven't done such a thing all summer. Then after coming home, I might go back to sleep, but I'll probably be too awake. But that's okay, because then I'll definitely get to see my niece. Then I'll proceed with my plans to go shopping and such.
Today my mom said something about me being "almost an adult." And I thought, "What's this 'almost' bit?" I do believe that I reached the age of majority about a year and nine months ago. So, it appears that neither of my parents consider me old enough to be grown up. What the hell? This is one reason why I much prefer being at Reed than at home; at Reed, I'm trusted to be an adult by everyone there. (Thank you, Honor Principle!)
Oh, and here's a bumper sticker I saw today: My Other Ride Is Your MOM.
