I continue to be amazed at how many people think I'm older than I am. But I have to say, it's quite a nice change from being thought of as younger than I am. I happened upon a small party in Eastport, and one of the people there said, "Congratulations Dawn, we're going to be seniors!" And I said, "Well, actually, I'm going to be a junior." And she said she thought I was in her class. No, not quite... Then they offered me alcohol, and though I said no at first, because I was waiting for Meg, I gave in and had some Absolut Kurrant and Coke. I had barely started drinking and decided to sit down because I didn't know how long I'd be waiting for Meg when she came to the social room. The cup I was drinking from was a nice one that probably would be missed if taken out of the dorm (though they did have one of the Oktoberfest mugs...) and I did want to finish my drink. Meg didn't want to wait, so she left, and I joined in the game of "Fuck Me, Fuck Me" that was getting started. It was quite a fun game. I'll have to see more movies if I want to play it more often. And that was my second party of the night. The first was the one at Liz's house, where I had the first (of two) drinks. We stayed just long enough for me to have my one drink and Meg to have some beer, then we left. Then to Foster we headed because supposedly there was a party there. But there didn't seem to be anything going on. So, we were going to go to Steele, and Kate and Lidiya drove, while Meg and I made a stop at ODB and I got waylaid at the party. On my way home, I saw Kate drive into the parking lot, so I went to say hi and helped carry things out of the art building.

So, I'm in a much better mood now. Before we left, I was hungry and getting quite cranky because I was being kept waiting and having no fucking clue as to why. Delays don't bother me unless unexplained. Communication solves a lot of things.

To bed I go now, so I can get up and start packing.

So far in my search for a place to live next year, they're either full for the fall, have a cat, or both. Damn it. Maybe I will live in a tent on the front lawn.
