[livejournal.com profile] leensterama had questions, I've got answers.

1. What is your favorite art form? Be as specific or as general as you find interesting.

Apparently, it is literature. It is what I am most interested in studying and the one art form I feel most capable of contributing to. I enjoy music, but I don’t participate in it in quite the same way I do literature. With literature, I read it, write about it, and have even helped bring it to life in the case of Shakespeare’s "Twelfth Night," and "Macbeth" if you count reading aloud in class, "Midsummer" and R&J if you count reciting monologues. Music I listen to, certainly, and play, though I do that less frequently now, but I am not prepared to study it in depth and I wouldn’t have a clue as to how to write it.

2. What do you want to do with your life?

I’m still trying to figure that out. I think I’m doing pretty well to have the next three years figured out! I think it would be awfully cool if I could pay the bills by doing something fun like acting and then in the rest of my time doing other things I enjoy. However, that’s not exactly within the bounds of probability. But whatever I end up doing, it should satisfy my desires to think, to write, and ultimately to change something.

3. Tell me something about you that I surely don't already know.

When I was little, like, three years old or so, I was terrified of the ice cream truck.

4. How do you think of Reed?

Increasingly fondly. I still have something of a love/hate relationship with the place, but my opinions skew toward the favorable as I gain perspective. I’m looking forward to going back, and indeed wishing that certain aspects of it were transferable, like a desk in the library where I could leave my books and not have to lug around 3000 pages of Shakespeare around from home to campus and back. And much more effective dissemination of vital information to the student body! The size of Reed can chafe at times, but there are positive aspects to it as well.

5. What does friendship mean/entail?

This will be by no means a comprehensive answer. That said... It entails mutual regard and a willingness to give at least a little of oneself - not a huge sacrifice, necessarily, but at the very least invest some time in maintaining the friendship. And it means being available to lend support however and whenever it’s needed.

Bonus question: Why are/aren't you a hero?

Perhaps I am a hero in that I am the protagonist of my own life’s story, but otherwise... I don’t know that anyone looks up to me for any reason. My cousin Michelle did at one time, but I don’t know if that still holds because I’ve gotten to be, well, rather estranged from a lot of the people around me, specifically family.
