May. 27th, 2004 12:08 amThe other day I had a dream that was notable for the level of detail. Usually, the people and things around me in a dream are basically projections, and the exit of a person often signals a scene shift. And rooms feel empty because the random objects that make a room lived in are missing. Not so with this dream. The setting stayed constant even through exiting and entering of others and had more than just blank wall in spots I wasn't paying attention to. And other people were not just images of humans but had a certain... gravity of being, I guess you could call it.
Today I went out to Valencia with Gabrielle because she had to go find out how to use the projection equipment at the UNM campus out there. Because of that, I was out and about in the morning for the first time in a couple weeks. It was quite cool and overcast, a few sprinkles. After that, we went to see Shrek 2. Good stuff. I didn't realize until the credits that John Cleese and Rupert Everett were in it. Then in the evening drinks and Buffy with Sarah.
Tomorrow I'm going to Denver for the weekend. Will see my sister, which is good. Of course, I'll have to spend several hours in the car with my dad. Yay. (He's been doing that "judgmental" thing again today. I'm sorry, but he just does not have any justification to judge me for going out for a drink once a week. I'm of drinking age, and besides, he drinks a beer every day, sometimes two.) We're going tomorrow and coming back Sunday to avoid most of the Memorial Day traffic. And on Sunday I should get back in time for Gabby's graduation party. I'll miss the ceremony, but meh. But I should be off to sleep, because I have to get up and pack and whatnot.
