Jun. 17th, 2004 11:51 pmSomeone near my house has a wireless network that is not password proctected. Bwah ha ha! I discovered this yesterday, but I don't plan on taking advantage of it very often. Only on those occasions when I'm especially impatient with my parents playing games for hours on end.
The other day I had vegetarian food for lunch. This fact makes me feel dirty. Gabrielle suggested Fei's Cafe for lunch. I'd walked by before and noticed that they prominently featured vegetarian dishes, but didn't realize that it was entirely vegetarian because I didn't pay much attention. So I tried the fried vegetable nuggets, which had about half a metric fuckton each of salt and pepper on them, which seems to be where most of the flavor came from.
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest is still running at the Vortex. I'm planning to go this weekend, most likely tomorrow. Then on Sunday, I'll finally see the new Harry Potter movie. I should also re-read the book, as I'm considering and just about decided to write my long paper for Film & Lit. on it.
Went out for dinner last night with the parents. I didn't particularly want to go, having been looking forward to an evening at home to do homework for two classes, but I also didn't want to make a big argument about either, since they were already pestering me to make the decision as to where we would eat. We ended up at Trombino's, where I opened up the menu to find that it was martini happy hour and that they listed razztinis in their (impressive) menu. So I had one, which was a surprise to my dad, for whatever reason. I guess I usually have wine around them, so this has somehow translated to the idea that I drink only wine, despite the fact that I do quite enjoy margaritas and had other drinks while in Laughlin on the way back from Portland with my dad. And there was the rum & coke phase around Christmas. And I've had vodka at home. But whatever. Besides, someone had to do something unpredictable by the others at the table; we all chose rather typical dishes - I had ravioli, mom had lasagne, and dad had spaghetti & sausage.
I've been trying to go to sleep early. So far, that hasn't been working out, however. But tonight it shouldn't be so bad if I fail once again to go to bed before two, because I don't have to be on campus until after noon. But, I should still try to get up and get a few things done before class.
