Jun. 29th, 2004 01:52 amToday when I was waiting at the bus stop for the shuttle to show up, there was a notice on the bulletin board about a local film that's casting soon. My first thought was, "Hey, I should audition." And my second thought was, "But... I'm not an actor." Those thoughts are still in combat. I think I'll let them have it out for a bit. Other things to think about.
Like the paper I have due Wednesday. And then the midterm and the final I have in the days after that. But mostly the paper. Haven't started. Although I have gone to see Prisoner of Azkaban twice and re-read the book last week. So, I have at least some direction. But I haven't made any progress on it today, thanks to my one-track mind. Shut up, brain. Quit gushing. Or whatever it is you're doing that is not concentrating on the matter(s) at hand.
In the "things that are good" column for today, I spoke up in Tolkien class today. Because Shakespeare came up. Well, Shakespeare and drama and film, all in connection with Tolkein, all of which I could talk about all day. If only there weren't idiotic tangents to get in my way. At least there's no scope for bringing up the History of Middle-earth series this week at all. (Shut up, Christopher Tolkien's lackey.)
I'm going to go pretend to sleep now.
