So I ended up not going to the First Fiction tour thingie. I figured it would be much more profitable to go home after class and do my homework. And indeed it was. I actually finished all the reading for Bible as Literature, and I caught up on my responses. Even read a good bit of the stuff for Ethical Theory, though I'm not sure it was quite enough, or quite what I needed to be reading, given the paper assignment. No matter. The page numbers of the relevant portions are given in the assignment. Which I picked up at the very end of class today after having not gone. I went in at the back of the room once people started leaving and went up to the front to snag a copy from the stack. And I was not the only one with the same idea. Ha.

But anyway, since I didn't have reading to do between classes today, I took the opportunity to go vote. Early voting is a beautiful thing. Not quite as beautiful as the mail-in voting they've got up in Oregon, but it's up there. Next election I might go for an absentee ballot, if this state still uses the same voting machines (and if I'm not somewhere else by then), because New Mexico uses the electronic kind. The ones made by Diebold, the company with ties to the Republican party. I just hope it recorded my votes right. Apparently there have already been some software problems already, but I don't know exactly what. Or maybe that was just an overzealous news anchor.

But now, to sleep, because I have a quiz in both Latin and Sanskrit tomorrow. Arg.
