I don't like packing when it's being a hassle. I'm almost done, I just have my carry on bag left. But I'm tired already. Grr. And I have to figure out if my computer is actually going to fit in my bag. It doesn't look like it. (I have a new one that my parents gave me for Christmas.) So, this is my final dispatch for winter break. Tomorrow I'll leave (the snow shouldn't be a problem, because it snowed only a little bit and didn't really stick to the roads), and then when I get to Portland, I get to figure out how the hell to get to Reed from the airport. Oh joy.

Went back to the memorial today. It was windy. Then I went to watch All-State rehearsal. It was pretty short, because I got there about four and they finished twenty minutes later, though it was scheduled to go until five. I did get to see Laura though. Driving was fun! What with crazy drivers. Why is it that all the drivers on the roads of a Friday are assholes? And finding a parking spot at UNM was a bitch. School is in session there, so you can't exactly park in the permit areas. And I really didn't want to park in the visitors' lot, because I didn't want to pay for parking. I hate paying for parking. Does something about that just seem wrong to you? So, I parked at the Frontier and went and got an apple juice so I could say that I was a customer. And I was thirsty. Before I went to the memorial and the rehearsal, I got my hair trimmed, finally.

We had lasagne at my house. My sister and her husband came over, as did my friend Mary. It was a nice dinner, with very good food. And stories of setting fire to roads and large piles of tumbleweeds.

Well, I'm going to finish packing now. Then to bed. Good night everybody.

Well, I'm back at Reed. I'm rather tired right now, so I'll try to give a short description of the craziness of the day. The day started off with getting up early to catch a plane. Nothing very odd happened until I got to Oakland. I got of my flight and went to find the gate where my next one would leave from. As I got there, they were finishing up boarding for another flight going to Portland. I briefly thought about trying to get on that one, but figured that my luggage wouldn't be on that flight and I'd have to wait around for an hour and a half. Instead, my luggage waited an hour and a half for me to get it. Yep, my suitcase got on the flight that left an hour and a half before mine. When I got to Portland, I managed to find a shuttle that cost only fifteen dollars, as opposed to the twenty I was expecting. Wohoo, five more dollars for food! The driver of the shuttle was from somewhere in Asia, and the other passenger was from somewhere where they speak French. They talked during the whole ride about flying one's own plane. Rather interesting.

The Gray center was locked, for some odd reason. I've never seen it locked before. So, I couldn't go get my mail, so I have no idea what my grades are. Not a big deal, since I'm not that worried to begin with.

There's a new Safeway. It's open 24 hours, and there's parking on the bottom level, and then you go up some stairs, and there's a grocery store! It's pretty damn awesome. Plus, I found something kind of like green chile. The can claims that there are five whole roasted green chiles in it, but I"m skeptical of that. When we got back to the dorm, Kristina put up her Christmas lights in the social room, using a nail and a butter knife to hang them by. The fork didn't work so well, but the knife did.

Tired. Must sleep.
