My question for today is: what the bloody hell is going on in G lot? Why are there so many people parking there and who are they? Summer is generally not very busy, and last year and the first few days of summer session I could park within the first two rows by the bus stop. But I've had to park farther and farther out until today I was at the back of the smaller upper-G section. And it hadn't cleared out much by four in the afternoon. But there were full busloads (and only one shuttle running!). I skipped the first bus because there were hordes of annoying teens getting on as well, and I'm a cranky old lady. Well, certainly cranky.
Also annoying me today: the girl in the Tolkien class who keeps bringing up the History of Middle-earth series. Shut! Up! Nobody cares. Those are his drafts, for fuck's sake, edited and with a lot of other explanatory crap written by Christopher Tolkien. If you want something useful to use in discussion that we're not actually reading, stick to the Silmarillion. The fact that you've started reading the HoMe series does not impress me.
