So tired, but so happy. Lecture series is awesome. I'd be inclined to think that it's just because this is the first year I've been so involved in it (going to all the parties, for example), but others who've been doing this longer also say so. Will probably write more about it later, but I need to sleep now so I can finish homework in the morning. So that I can maintain some semblance of being a good student.

And speaking of, today HD mentioned to Leslie that I'm in her class and also said I'm "wonderful," several times over. Which makes me feel better, considering Derek Pearsall walked away when I started to say how much I enjoyed his lecture.

And in other news, I think I know what I would want to have myself tattooed with. Won't happen for quite a while, though, because it'll be expensive as hell.

So, for Christmas I gave my mom a bottle of strawberry wine. When we opened it up, it tasted rather off. So a couple of weeks later I exchanged it. The new bottle was even worse. I instantly regretted taking a sip. Horrid. So, we recorked it and stuck it in a sunny corner of the counter. Because it was tucked back in the corner, I kind of forgot about it and eventually gave up on exchanging it. And today I went and bought my mom a bottle of Samos. So dad took this opportunity to deal with the nasty strawberry wine, which by now is quite dark and actually tastes better than before. Rather like brandy. So there's my dad, just back from the Tanoan golf course in his best golf clothes, sipping homemade brandy from a snifter.

Ha! this is great!

Today I called a friend of mine to wish him a happy birthday a few days late. And I was stunned when he actually answered the phone, because he never does that. Ever. So that was pretty cool, especially as I haven't seen him in a while. And in general, I should probably call people more often.

The other day I took the "what philosophy do you follow" quiz, and the damn thing gave me "strong egoism," which displeased me muchly, because the quotation on it was from Ayn Rand. My Ayn Rand fan phase was short-lived and long since over. So, no. Screw that. Of course, that result was tied with existentialism. Which is much better.

I'd thought about going to a show tonight, but, no. Tired, much work, other things happening this weekend. So I'm staying in to do homeworky things and later have a bit of the vodka I bought earlier.
