It's the same old shit all over again.
It's nice that my dad wanted me to discuss my plans for this summer with him, but I DON'T FUCKING CARE IF THAT'S WHAT HE WANTS. I'm an adult now, and I MAKE MY OWN DAMN DECISIONS. It wouldn't be such an issue to include him in talking about things if he hadn't been such a controlling prick my entire life. If I let him have any input, it would be too much like capitulating, and it would be too easy to just give in. And if he doesn't agree with my decisions, well, you know what? It's none of his fucking business, because this is my life, damn it, and I'm the one who has to live it.
